My First Wednesday Weigh-in

31 Jan

I decided it would help me stay on top of my fitness goals if I posted my progress.  I figured you might be able to cheer me on or tease me a if I fall off the wagon.

I’m going to attemp to link up to some other ladies that have been at this for a little while.  I’ve been following along with them, which has also encouraged me to start/continue my journey.  We’ll see how that goes later in the post.  If you see a cute little button at the bottom, it worked.  If not…major fail.  That’s ok though, because I am going to update you anyway.

I weigh myself most every morning.  I know that it’s not a true indicator, but it helps me judge how good or bad I did the day before.  I’m going to do my official weigh-ins on Wednesdays since there’s a cute little button and for some reason I love alliteration.  Plus, these other ladies seem to have a good thing going.  Anyways, I didn’t post last Wednesday because I had just gotten started.  As of today, I’ve been at this for about a week and a half.

In my last couple of posts, I’ve told you about getting up early to work out, going for a jog with the fam, and trying to change my eating habits.  Well, it has paid off.

I know I have a long way to go, especially since I’ve gained a few more pounds than the original 25 I lost, but at least I had some affirmation that I am on the right track.

I wore a cute outfit today since I was feeling good after my morning weigh in and approached the day with a pretty great attitude.  It’s amazing what a little work and small 4-pound reward can do for you.

I’m going to try to keep at it, and hopefully I won’t cave to one of my biggest obstacles (anything sweet) this weekend.  If you don’t know, I bake/decorate cakes on the side.  This is probably another reason that 25 pounds came back on so fast.  I have been pretty busy with work and the holidays, so I haven’t had any cakes since November, but it’s that time of year and business is gaining momentum again.

I have my first cake coming up this weekend and I will be doing my best not to eat any scrapcake (the part I trim off the top to make it level and throw into a bag before it makes its way to the garbage).  My family always nibbles on this stuff when I bake a cake.  I am also going to try not to eat any of the cake at the party.  Maybe since it will be houndstooth, instead of orange (GO VOLS!), I’ll be able to resist.

What is one of your biggest obstacles (favorite junk foods) in trying to eat healthy?

Hope you guys are having a wonderful week.  Happy Hump Day.

Thanks for reading,

Wow, 4 lbs. is amazing and inspiring… good job!! Love that you’re feeling good and rocked a cute outfit too… always puts a little extra pep in our days!

Thanks so much for linking up! It looks like the button isn’t working on your site… make sure when you copy the code you paste it into the ‘html’ section of your post, not on the normal screen. Hope that makes sense… happy to help if you still can’t get it!

Hope this week is another great week!

Yay congratulations!!! And I’ve been dying to make those pancakes again lol. I’m seriously craving them everyday now lol. My weakness used to be bread but that was actually pretty easy to get past. Now it’s probably homemade sweets occasionally but I haven’t had any in 3 weeks. : )

That’s funny because I just told Bennett’s babysitter I wanted some for dinner. They are scrumptious!

Congrats on the AWESOME loss ! I’ll try to give you a little inspiration for avoiding the cake. I LOVE sweets, I love junk food, I love sugar – in anything, on top of everything.. you get my point. Right now though, I’m 11 days sugar free, going into my 12th and I feel awesome and powerful! You CAN avoid those scraps of cake! You really can- you just have to want to 🙂 best of luck!!

Thanks for the inspiration. I’m pretty hard headed and I want it bad so I think I can do it. Thanks for stopping by.
